The human IL-2 protein, also known as interleukin-2, is an important cytokine that plays a vital role in regulating the immune system. It is produced by activated T cells and stimulates the proliferation and activation of various immune cells, such as T cells, B cells, and natural killer cells. IL-2 also promotes the development of immune memory and enhances the effectiveness of the immune response against infections and cancers. In addition, IL-2 has been used therapeutically in the treatment of certain diseases, such as cancer and autoimmune disorders, to boost the immune system.

Molecular Weight	Approximately 17.35 kDa.

Biological Activity	Human IL-2R immobilized on CM5 chip can bind human IL-2, His tag, with an affinity constant of 3.84 x 10^-7 M as determined in a SPR assay (Biacore 8K).
Endotoxin	< 1 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated solution in PBS.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge tubes before opening. Dissolve lyophilized protein with PBS. Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities when first used and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
